Superstar

Delaney and Bonnie's Never Ending Song of Love played a huge part in my youth. They were huge stars for a few minutes in the late 60s and early 70s. Bonnie Bramlett later showed up as Roseanne's cafeteria coworker in several episodes of Roseanne. It just came to my attention that she also wrote one of the best and most successful songs ever, Superstar, recently featured in Juno by Sonic Youth. Also hilariously featured in a scene in Tommy Boy with Chris Farley and David Spade. I hope it's made her very wealthy. She was the first caucasian to sing with Ike & Tina Turner as one of the Ikettes.
I always think of Star Wars, though, when I hear the first line.

Francesca

Took a Sunday drive with Cole over to the Bridges of Madison county last weekend. Sweet graffiti.

See You Again

While watching Idol Gives Back last night, I realized that that boppy new song I love that gets everyone out on the dance floor at the bar is Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana. Not unlike Proctor's experience with Oops I Did it Again.
